Mitsubishi and Cluster Co., Ltd. have launched the “Virtual Marunouchi” project, which virtually reproduces the Marunouchi area located on the west side of Tokyo Station. Mitsubishi will verify the way the city should be in the digital space and promote the digital transformation (DX) of the city.
The purpose of this initiative is to build a virtual Marunouchi area that can be visited remotely. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated Mitsubishi’s goal of digital transformation and the integration of VR into daily life. The new “Virtual Marunouchi” will be available through the virtual platform by Cluster.
An event space called “Marucube” is available in Virtual Marunouchi. This event space is located on the 1st floor of the Marunouchi building. The event stage will have both video and live content distribution. It will be a place for special events and conferences. The first event called “Virtual Marunouchi Festival” will take place on February 21st. The event will be hosted by Yoshimoto Yurakucho Theater and showcase numerous comedians.
