Operation Cloud VR ~ VR Clinical Education Platform

Operation Cloud VR is a VR clinical education platform that allows you to easily capture numerous medical cases into high-precision VR by permanently installing a high-definition 360-degree camera and server in a medical facility. Sharing these experiences and learning medical techniques from an operator’s perspective is a new and important way to train for the real thing.

One VR service includes training with the artificial heart-lung machine, ECMO, which has been in increasing demand for critically ill COVID-19 patients. The service has been introduced to Nippon Medical School, Nippon Sport Science University, and the National Cancer Research Center as a clinical training tool, as well as a safety education program for medical device manufacturers. Recently, the ECMO VR program was adopted by the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED). AMED has launched a large-scale project in collaboration with the three major medical societies for emergency trauma that aims to introduce the ECMO VR program to medical facilities nationwide.
