Psychic VR Lab (HQ: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Masahiro Yamaguchi), a company that produces the fashion VR shopping service “STYLY” which uses virtual reality (hereinafter referred to as “VR” technology), PwC Consulting Godo Kaisha (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Susumu Adachi, hereinafter referred to as “PwC Consulting”), and AID-DCC (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, CEO: Yukihiro Tominaga) have begun to collaborate in the development of solutions that utilize virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies to achieve the next generation of user experiences.
Through this alliance, the three companies will support the development of new businesses and services that utilize VR and AR technologies for companies and organizations that aim to innovate in the digital field. To start, the three companies will promote the development of next generation systems aimed at applying VR and AR technologies to stores, commercial facilities, offices, and other environments for next-generation shopping services and VR conferencing/education systems based on completely new communication methods.
In this collaboration, Psychic VR Lab will promote the joint development of the creative platform STYLY and an interface that will revolutionize the next generation of stores and working styles, and provide the most appropriate technologies and platforms to meet the challenges faced by companies and organizations. PwC Consulting will provide comprehensive support for the development of new business strategies that utilize VR/AR technologies, including technical research, POC evaluation, system conception and optimization, and implementation. AID-DCC, a company engaged in the research and development of VR/AR technologies, will create experiential content based on the fusion of technology and design, and create new customer experiences.
