“God Scorpion”, a Psychic VR Lab media artist, acting as VR Director in “ZOO” by Chiaki Shinoda

The media artist “God Scorpion” from Psychic VR Lab, the provider of the VR creative platform “STYLY” (https://styly.cc/), will be directing the performance at the Kitasenju Art Center in Tokyo from February 15 (Thursday) to 18 (Sunday).

“ZOO” by Chiaki Shinoda will be performed again in Tokyo!

We are also pleased to announce that we will be acting as the VR Director for Chiaki Shinoda’s “ZOO” directed by Chiaki Shinoda and performed by TPAM Fringe.

This is the Tokyo performance of Chimei Shinoda’s bold interpretation and direction of the original work by the Chilean writer “Manuela Infante”, which was much talked about for its style of performance and introduction of VR when it was first performed at the Kyoto Experiment in 2016. In the theatre, a person wearing a VRHMD is in a fenced area, and two people guide the audience through the entire performance space . The guides begin by explaining the physical appearance description of a person and introduce people who move, people who imitate others, people who communicate with each other, etc. The cast includes Kan Fukuhara (Han Aerobatics), Mika Masuda, Yamuna Bambi Valenta and Yasushi Takeda, with Art Director Kazuki Takarara (Han Aerobatics) and VR Director God Scorpion. A speaking event with author David O’Reilly and Game Director Dr. Inukai, whose game “Everything” was nominated for an Academy Award, will also be held on Thursday, February 15.
